The non-profit Corner Store taps the YuMe Tree fund to purchase materials required for the next steps.

The Corner Store's Kris Swanson produces two models of the YuMe Tree, one a painting and one a mosaic. She presents the models to CVS & E Street Neighborhood Group. The mosaic model was the winner.

Project Partnerships & Fundraising Efforts Begin (Funding)
June Summer July - Tile making days will be set at Capitol Hill Arts Workshop (CHAW) and the Corner Store to include any students missed in the work through the schools. Email notification to all Corner Store students concerning tile making days, announcements at CHAW during summer ceramics classes.

June 28 - Blank panels, 14 4' by 8' plastic panels will be bolted temporarily onto the CVS/pharmacy wall.

June 28 to July 15 - Kris and volunteers will draw outlines of the tile and mirror groupings onto the wood panels, with size and proportion adjusted to fit the site, and grids created for different classes and schools (see photos).

15 July. Launch Party at the CVS wall (see photos)

July 23rd - panels removed to Watkins School for tile assembly and setting.

24 July - 28 September. Tile assembly and setting at Watkins School and the Corner Store Studio. (see photos)
